This is a comprehensive second-year course that moves students from foundational knowledge to the practical application and development of blockchain technologies.  The curriculum is structured to provide a deep dive into the technical and operational aspects of decentralized networks, covering advanced ledger security, smart contract development and decentralized application (dApp) architecture.  The course is designed to equip students with the skills needed to build, secure and deploy blockchain-based solutions in a real-world context, which aligns well with your future focus on this field. The course employs a hands-on, project-based learning approach with a strong emphasis on practical application.  Students will spend their time in guided labs, coding workshops and simulations, where they will learn to configure nodes, deploy smart contracts on testnets and integrate blockchain backends with front-end interfaces.  In addition to technical skills, the course also addresses the critical business and ethical dimensions of blockchain, including tokenomics, DeFi principles and governance frameworks.  The assessments reflect this practical focus, requiring students to submit working code repositories, dApp demos and reports analyzing everything from security to token models. The capstone of the program is a culminating project where students will design and implement a complex dApp or tokenized workflow.  This final module is a chance for students to synthesize all their acquired knowledge and skills into a single, comprehensive project.  The final assessment, which includes a repository, demo recording and executive summary, ensures that students not only have a strong command of the technical aspects of blockchain but can also document their work and present their solutions effectively.  This prepares them for a future role in the blockchain industry by creating a tangible portfolio of their work.
